....... the 'Ajax' Gene!!!

The Ajax gene is a highlighter type gene that presented its self in one very special clutch on July 25^th 2011…. This wonderful gene appears to almost bleach other color morphs while adding some nice blushing to the dark areas…. The most discriminating factor so far is the intense bleaching of the head pattern…. All that is known genetically at this time is speculation by various breeders hat have countless years of experience with the many genes and combos available today…. The one thing that they most agree on is that the Ajax gene is something new…. The Ajax gene has not been separated at this time so its basic appearance is not known, though one can only guess that it will present its self as a more intense Fire or Vanilla type animal… All that we know at this time is that they are all males, and we did not expect this gene to present its self in our collection……….

Xray

The Xray ball python is by far the CRAZIEST snake in our collection at this time…. This gem is pictured next to his half sibling Super Pastel…. As you can tell, the Ajax gene has bleached the yellow/orange color of the Super Pastel to a faint yellow, almost crème coloring which appears to be getting more intense by the day…. General consensus on the striping and pattern of this snake is that another pattern gene is at play and we may get a super form in 2012... This new pattern gene is blending its self superbly with the Ajax and Super Pastel in this priceless combo……….

Apex

The Apex ball python is a special one in and of its self…. We had to name him because we are unsure of his genetics at this time…. Our best guess is that he is an Ajax Super Pastel but until we know more he will just be known as the Apex…. Showing off some nice bleached yellows, blushing and a lovely forked neck stripe, this guy is going to be a stunner…. If this is what the Ajax does to the Pastel gene, just wait till we mix it with the Enchi, Fire, Vanilla……….

Ajax Pastel Het Red Axanthic

In this nice combo we can see that the Ajax not only affects the Supers but does some nice things with Pastels as well…. Shown here next to his Pastel Het Red half sister, you can see the Ajax gene washed away almost all the yellows of this Pastel Het Red…. As this boy continues to grow we expect the yellows to intensify and some peach coloring is already starting to show…. This combo will definitely prove to be interesting……….

Ajax Super Pastel Het Red Axanthic

Not much can be said about this combination…. The Super Pastel Het Red is already a superb combo but adding the Ajax gene will just intensify everything from the blushing down to the coloring as an adult…. I cannot wait for this thing to grow……….
