Failure to read these Terms of Sale, whether intentional or by accident, will not under any circumstances make them void or altered. Privacy

We keep your personal information private and secure. When you make a purchase from our site, you provide your name, email address, credit card information, address, phone number, and a password. We use this information to process your orders, to keep you updated on your orders and to personalize your shopping experience.

Our secure servers protect your information using advanced encryption techniques and firewall technology.

To keep you informed about our latest offers, we may notify you of current promotions, specials and new additions to the Specialty Reptile, LLC site. You may unsubscribe from our newsletters by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email you receive from us.

When entering any of our contests or prize drawings, you provide your name, email address and mailing address. If you win, we will send the prize to the address entered and notify you by e-mail. When you enter a contest or drawing you are also included in our newsletter list to receive notice of promotions, specials and new additions to the Specialty Reptile, LLC site. You may unsubscribe from this news list by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email received.

We use "cookies" to keep track of your current shopping session to personalize your experience and so that you may retrieve your shopping cart at any time.

Order Acceptance Policy

Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Specialty Reptile, LLC reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item.

Methods of Payment

Specialty Reptile, LLC (herein referred to as “we”) accepts PayPal, Postal Money Orders and Credit Cards (through PayPal only). 

The Money Order must be sent USPS Priority Delivery with in 24 hours of website purchase. Confirmation of shipment via USPS tracking number must be emailed to sales@specialtyreptile.com with in 24 hours of website purchase. When sending anything via Priority Mail, you must ask for Delivery Confirmation to get a tracking number. Once the Money Order is recieved, we will then begin to process your order.

Taxes

Our Store shall automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within Minnesota. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales and/or other taxes.

Product and Dry Goods Shipping

Product and dry goods will be shipped via FedEx or USPS as determined by you during checkout. Shipping cost varies depending on weight and size, and will be determined at checkout based on the delivery address. All dry goods are shipped ground within 7 - 10 business days. Expedited shipping may be available for an additional fee.

For a multiple product order, we will make every attempt to ship all products contained in the order at the same time. Products that are unavailable at the time of shipping will be shipped as they become available, unless you inform us otherwise. You will only be charged for shipping at the rate quoted to you on your purchase receipt. The entirety of this shipping charge may be applied to the first product(s) shipped on a multiple shipment order.

Live and Frozen Feeders

All feeder sales are final.

Live insects shipped are covered by a "limited" live arrival guarantee. (crickets may go dormant in temperatures under 60 degrees F. Please allow 4 to 6 hours before assuming they are dead on arrival). In the event of insect DOA's, please send an e-mail to sales@specialtyreptile.com with the approximate quantity lost. Specialty Reptile will credit your account for the value of the loss. Specialty Reptile must receive your e-mail within 24 hours of arrival of shipment. Proof of loss may be required before credit will be issued. Specialty Reptile is not responsible for loss due to carrier delay or extreeme temperatures during travel. We recommend Next Day Air Delivery for best results.

 

Frozen rodent sales and shipping are limited to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area! If you do not live within our shipping area, arrangements may be made over the phone at (763) 647-0550. Out of area shipments will be subject to overnight delivery fees and added box handling charges. *A re-stocking fee of 3% will be charged to all out of area purchases requiring a refund.*

*Animals, feeders and dry goods will be shipped separately!*

Animal Shipping Cost

Animal shipping must be done by "Fedex Priority Overnight". Shipping may be delayed if the wrong method is chosen. If you are purchasing products along with animals the shipping calculation will be incorrect and an agent of Specialty Reptile will contact you to correct any errors. After your purchase is processed someone from our sales team will contact you via e-mail to make shipping arrangements. Animals will not be shipped if shipping charges are unpaid.

We can fit a large number of animals in each box, so there are no additional shipping charges for small groups of animals. There is no box charge, no heat/cold pack charge or any other additional charge.  Specialty Reptile, LLC offers free shipping on animal purchases of $800 or more. Animal shipments will not be sent after Wednesday; these will ship the following Monday (there will be no Saturday deliveries).

Animal Shipping Method

Specialty Reptile, LLC will ship via FedEx Overnight to the shipping address provided during checkout (Monday through Wednesday shipment ONLY). Specialty Reptile, LLC will not ship to a PO Box. PayPal customers: in order to abide by the buyer/seller protection clause, we will only ship to the address provided by your PayPal account. Please update your address before you purchase.

You, the buyer, must contact us after placing your order to set up a suitable shipping date. Shipments are generally delivered to your door by 10:30 AM the next morning, but this may vary depending on your location (i.e. deliveries are sometimes later in rural areas).

It is the buyer’s responsibility to make sure that someone is at the shipping address on the day the package is scheduled to arrive. All guarantees are void if someone is not present for the first delivery attempt or if we are not contacted within 30 minutes of delivery. We are not responsible for carrier delays due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

We prefer not to ship during extreme weather conditions. Therefore, any shipments made when the temperature is below 40 degrees F or above 90 degrees F, the Live Animal Guarantee will be void.

Live Animal Guarantee

Specialty Reptile LLC offers a live, healthy animal guarantee on all purchases. In the unlikely event that an animal arrives in bad shape or DOA, we will require proof, in the form of the deceased, injured, or sick animal being shipped back to us. We may be able to accept digital pictures as a substitute at our discretion.

Once determined that you have a valid claim, we will attempt to find a suitable replacement animal. We do not ever under any circumstances refund purchases in cash. The buyer is responsible for any and all shipping charges associated with the replacement(s).

Our main goal is to make every transaction a pleasant experience, if any problems arise, please be assured that we will make it right! Our reputation is very important to us and we strive to provide you with great animals as well as the very best in customer service. In the unlikely event that there is a problem with any animal(s), we ask that you keep the details of the problem(s) private. You must first contact us and allow enough time (up to 10 business days) to review your claim, and find a suitable arrangement to replace the animal(s).

Posting details of the transaction, problem, or claim, on any public forum or website is a direct violation of this policy and will result in the immediate and unconditional void of our guarantee.

Sex and Genetics Guarantee

Here at Specialty Reptile, LLC we back our genetics 100% (unless otherwise noted as 'unknown' or 'possible'). Rest assured that what you purchase is what you will get, or we will replace it with an animal of equal or greater value.

The sex of our animals will carry the same guarantee as our genetics. NOTE: For most lizards it is near impossible to accurately determine the sex until approximately 8 months of age. Therefore all lizards sold, less than 8 months of age, are sex determined as our best guess and will not be covered under our sex guarantee.

As with the Live Animal Guarantee, we require proof of the incorrect Sex or Genetics, in the form of said animal being shipped back to us. The buyer is responsible for any and all shipping charges associated with the replacement(s)

Damaged Product Procedure for Dry Goods

In the event of damage or errors in shipping, Specialty Reptile, LLC must be notified of all problems within 3 business days of the customer signing for the package. For customers who have an online account, you must fill out the RMA form in the ‘Track Your Recent Orders’ section of your account. For customers who purchased without setting up an account, Specialty Reptile, LLC needs the following information to issue a credit or replace goods: 1) Customer's full name, 2) Customer's full address, 3) invoice number, 4) tracking number, 5) SKU/Item number(s) and a short description of the problem.  This information should be emailed to sales@specialtyreptile.com or called into (763) 647-0550. Please note: If we are billing a third party UPS/FedEx number, the claim must be filed by you directly with the carrier. Product refunds or reimbursements will be given as store credit only. We do not under any circumstances refund purchases in cash.

Local Pick-up

We do not have a retail store. However, if you live near our facility and would like to pick up your animal and/or products, please choose that shipping option during checkout. We do require a handeling fee of $2.75 for this service. After your order is placed, we will contact you to arrange a pickup time. Please note that most orders require at least 48 hours to process before pickup. Customer service is available by phone between 4:00pm and 9:00pm (CST) Monday through Friday, and between Noon and 4:00pm Saturday and Sunday. Customer service is available by e-mail 24/7. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response.

Gecko Tails

All geckos drop their tails from time to time, often times it is due to stressful situations though it may also happen for no apparent reason.  With Crested/Gargoyle Geckos this is a natural occurrence and Specialty Reptile, LLC does not consider this a defect.  We do not discount Crested/Gargoyle Geckos that have dropped their tails.  Also, due to the stressful nature of shipping an animal, we cannot be held responsible for tails dropped during shipping. We do, however, make every reasonable attempt to make your animal’s trip the least stressful experience as possible.
